and when she speaks

It's tiring after being awake for 35 hours straight. But I'm not complaining, I know what I got myself into, the day I decided on medicine.Only I wish I was one of those people who could survive with relatively few hours of sleep ;)On those days when I come back exhausted, I thank my mum for sending me Maggi. So I don't have to slaughter my carrots and broccolis in the kitchen with eyes half open, and cook myself a nice dinner.Instead, I just boil water and crack an egg into my steaming pot of Maggi noodles :)Ironic isn't it? How med students are probably the unhealthiest of the lot... eating anything that we can grab because we're always on the go...On the bright side of all this talk, I love my patients... esp the old ones. I am thinking I might just work with them :) Am considering Palliative care or Geriatrics- but we'll see how ;)I'm on call tmr- Saturday morning til Sunday noon. It's ER call, I'm going to be busy busyI miss having free weekends! *muacks* :)

There is a fine line between being emotionally detached and being cold.I am only human. And I think the doctor with the most healing touch is the one who treats from the heart.--- On another note,Thanksgiving turkey dinner tonight :)Happy Thanksgiving!
