Do random things. I said random, not *kooky* ;)
Buy a new dress. Wear heels. Well, this is for the always standing med students anyway ;)
Travel. Love. Laugh.Give a hug to a close friend.Go movie-hunting. Call a friend up and say Hi.Email an old pal. Eat ice-cream :) Catch up on gossip :) Watch a short movie clip on youtube.Sometimes all it takes is a little shove from someone in the right direction. To remind you to not miss out on simple pleasures in life.Don't hold yourself back. And don't make anymore excuses.Just go out there, and do what you yearn to do.

My bum is sore. And numb. From plonking my butt down to research on cities I can foresee myself living in the next few years of my life. Researching the benefits each hospital provides its residents ie us- medical people who will be slogging so hard. All whilst calculating how much my poor daddy might have to fork out just to increase my chances heheheh :) A wise senior told me since we've already spent half a million, what's a couple of thousand more when scrimping tight-fistedly might just put you on the losing end.I crave croissants. Cos' Evan was talking about it.I crave Curry Maggi cup noodles cos Sze Sze was slurping the noodles happily in front of me, with all the sound effects too.My resident whom I worked with last night was awesome. She paged me and said 'Sue, I got you treats. Meet me in the lounge'She bought me a chocolate donut and hot tea from Tim's.And then, we started yakking away... and I received lots of guidance from her- she's got a big big heart made of gold. She went through with me her experiences of her residency applications, future considerations for each residency program and questions you should think about in terms of deciding where you want to end up in the future...I have to honestly say she's like my big sister. She paged me last night around midnight, right after we finished admitting a patient and said 'E-mail me if you ever need a pep talk or some words of advice'.A high five from her and an email contact, with our exchange of thanks and good luck wishes later- we said goodbye as it was my very last day in Peds Medical Unit. She's such a generous soul. I told mummy I was so lucky I was on call on a Saturday night. Despite all my earlier whining to mum, things always work out for the best... funny isn't it? :)
