It was so nice to bump into Siraj this morning. My very first resident who was put in charge of me.He lost a whole lot of weight and he told me he needed a vacation badly. I looked at him and I realised how tough residency is, and realised how hard he works.I want to be the best I can be in what I do, but I also want to enjoy myself along my journey in achieving my dreams. I don't want to end up working so hard that I miss out on all the small wonders in life that make you laugh and smile.I'm hoping to have dinner with him on one of his many night calls, to catch up. Poor guy, working so hard, I need to teach him how to lighten up ;)Rob paged me today- he gave me the green light to bug him anytime for lunch-muahaha..I'm so thick-skin, when I need a lunch partner, I will go and hunt him down.It was so great to finally meet up with Mina and Anna tonight. We had Greek @ Athens. They pretty much vented out all the worries of exams and stresses of clerkship. It was non-stop chatter, giggles and laughter as we shared out stories. Especially Anna and her experience with a guy who just had a penile implant done. We took silly photo shots of ourselves and just really had a wonderful time tonight, enjoying the food and company.Anna drove us home. And YAY- she thought of a fantastic idea about driving me to the airport to send me off the day after exams. She's going to try to get her dad's new car too :) And we're going to go for a girls' day out before I fly home ;)Mina's mum has this resort thingy too- so we've talked about our plans to hang out after clerkship-which is like, wayyy ahead in a years' time. We're just too excited :)

Fun Facts about Sagittarius
Inquisitive and energetic, the Sagittarian is the traveler of the zodiac. Their philosophical, broad-minded approach to life motivates them to wander far and wide in the search for the meaning of life. Extroverted, optimistic and enthusiastic, it can be almost impossible to keep the Sagittarian down.
They love to laugh and to get everyone around them going. Sagittarians make friends from around the globe, enjoying the various takes on life and culture. They make friends easily and remain steadfast through the years. When it comes to family, the Sagittarian is dedicated and willing to do just about anything. Freedom and independence are extremely important for this outgoing sign. Providing these traits aren't infringed upon, all relationships go well.
When the Sagittarian gets a sense of the big picture, they'll work night and day to reach a goal.
Fun-loving Sagittarians enjoy making - and spending - money.
This fiery sign is playful and loves to have fun with their lovers. Passionate, expressive, and willing to try just about anything, partners who are equally outgoing are best suited to the Sagittarian. There's a fine line between sex and love for this sign. Their love of change and variety can bring a lot of different faces to the bedroom. But when it comes to love, that's an entirely different thing. Once taken, the Sagittarian is loyal, true-blue, and devoted. Mates for this sign need to be intellectual, sensitive, and expressive for the best results.

DermatologyIt's laidback. And just what I need now.Starts at 9am and ends at 4pm :)Still, I find my evenings and mornings occupied, just running around, doing errands and meeting up with as many friends/residents before I fly home for the Christmas break, and of course, before my big exam :)So many things to do, so many people to catch up with- I won't say 'so little time' as the cliche saying goes, because time is always there, you just have to make an effort as you go along- really, time management is a tough juggling act when you're in medicine. But I guess that goes for many others as well. And I've learnt from a lost family friend, that you really don't want to rush things, you want to enjoy each day as it comes and make the most out of it. And celebrate life. Each new day is a gift in itself, hey?
On another note...Boy oh boy. I have seen some wicked stuff on Dermatology :)Biopsies of numerous suspicious skin cancer lesions and how they slice your skin up and dig a whole chunk of meat out whilst playing music in the background-wicked :) There's actually quite an amount of blood that comes out with skin biopsies. But what I really fancy is the punch biopsy in which you use something like a cookie cutter and slowly drill it into the skin and out sprouts that piece of cylindrical meat and then you take a blade and cut it off. Easy-peasy ;)Amazing how dermatologists here hardly see people for botox and acne, almost everyone who comes in here were sent by their family doctor for suspected skin cancer -it's really widespread here.---
Told Robert how I told my mum that I was well taken care of in Cardiology by my team and he was like 'Aww Sue, I'm going to miss you too'.
Truth be told, I count my lucky stars to have such wonderful people around me.I'm definitely going to miss 'em.Rob is really a sweetheart. Somehow he always knows just what to say..And I say that because when I was disappointed & down at one point, he said something so comforting. Ad put things into perspective for me, and made me feel on top of the world after that ;)He's like my big brother, who takes great care of me.
And I love that to bits :)When he was taking my blood again, he was fooling around and we found out that my arm was actually smaller than his wrist!
Then, He took my freezing cold fingers and rubbed them in between his palms- super sweet eh? :) I feel so pampered in a way ;PLike the big brother I never had.I am sooo lucky :)
