NYC visit in March 2010 :)Friday: brunch @ Alice Tea Cup's in the Upper east side. We had lots of scones :)Then, off to MOMA for Tim Burton's exhibition and Marina Abramovich (performance artist)followed by shopping around East Village :) And TAKOYAKI :) took the bus to Lincoln Plaza Centre for our opera L''etoile :)And supper at O Taisho - I had the Yakitori and a taste of sake.Saturday: Went to Central Park to meet an old friend. Had brunch at Takashimaya tea house cafe where we had their Bento Box!Followed by exploring FAO Schwartz and catching the impressive performance on The BIG Piano which costs $250, 000! Then, a stroll through the zoo and took a detour to get some hot hazelnut coffee- followed by getting a flattened coin (those souvenir gifts where you roll this contraption and it stamps an animal picture on your coin) :)Then, cabbed it to Viniero in East Village for dessert- and we yakked about workin in the hospital for close to 3 hours straight; alongside devouring chocolate molten lava cake and red velvet cake :) Then, off to a short visit to Hau Jia and Max's apartment - before we all cabbed it to the Sanur, a Malaysian restaurant in Chinatown. Feasted on a TONNE- before moving onto dessert-bubble tea. Sunday: Woke up late; to a rainy cold Sunday morning :( *bugger*Desmond cooked pasta (YUM!) for both of us :) and we headed off to meet Carol at Joe the art of Coffee at East Village for tea :) and oatmeal raisins. Then, off to shop at Union Square and thronged many shops along the way- before heading back to the Upper east side for a yummy, huge Japanese dinner at Yuka with AiPing! And dessert at PinkBerry!:) Stayed up til 4am and took off back to Chicago!Thank you to all whom I met up, with an epic special heartfelt thanks to dearest Desmond and AiPing for being such wonderful generous hosts :) !*mwahh*

Sitting in the airplane about to take off, this young lad walking down the lane, about to pass me by, paused and stared at me for awhile.
Then, he turned his cheeky antics on.
"Are you here on your own- without company?"
Yes.
"I'll come join you"
I think this seat next to me will most likely be taken soon.
His friend behind him snickered.
"Aww. Alright, I'll come check later."
And we all smiled at the cheeky flirty encounter. Made my night when my flight to NYC was delayed by an hour!
Had a terrific weekend there. Pics will be up soon! :)
Next week, it's back to the medicine floors. I'm going to make the most of this week!
