I can't believe another rotation has zoomed by. I am now done with Cardiology though I still feel as if I'm going to ward 6.2 on Monday. I guess it hasn't kicked in yet cos I know Ill still drop by and say Hi next week. The team is going to meet up for another dinner :)This time @ Talay Thai. The challenge is to pick one night when none of us are on call.
Come Monday, I'll be looking at acne, pimples -yep, Im doing Dermatology :)
Punch skin biopsies, here I come!
Anyway, I've been terribly unhealthy these days.Yesterday, Sia drove me and Rob in his Mercedes which he's so extremely proud of, to the Bethune hospital building for this oncology talk- actually, we went there more for the food as I am ashamed to say (Rob would say what's there to be ashamed about, we're all students - we don't earn big bucks ;)), apparently there's a good spread for oncology talks. So we walked in, and I could see residents and doctors rushing and piling on the pizzas on their tiny paper plates. They were like hungry ghosts, afraid there would be none left. Funnily enough, here people aren't malu or shy when it comes to helping themselves to free food.Pizzas, salads, drinks, dessert bites-all good stuff. So we grabbed a plateful and sat down for about 20 minutes and left. The guys left for another talk, and I had to go back to the other hospital. This afternoon, Sin Ling told me about food in another talk. I walked by to talk to Muhammad, my old resident and the next thing I knew, the neurology Staff doctor gave me two whole boxes of pizza! I brought it back to the cardiology ward, and it was gone in no time. I had 3 large slices today. And two large slices yesterday for lunch.Mati kudasai la....... pizzas everyday like this, how leh? :p

COLD.That's actually an understatement. But see that thingy on my head which I'm wearing, I forgot what's it called; gotta ask Sam again. It's hers :) and it keeps my ears from looking beet red and feeling frostbite when I reach the hosp.I feel happy.Last night-doing my call; I did NOT get paged once in the middle of the night :)This morning, I woke up-after making MILO using those instant MILO packets, I got paged at exactly 8.56am- 4 minutes to go before I end my shift. *dang*'Hi, we've got 4 new admissions for you here'I looked at the clock, aghasted. And then the voice sounded familiar. It was my PGY4, Jonathan!I said 'Hell no, I am OFF duty!-only 4 minutes to go!'I laughed and called out his name. He asked 'How'd u know?'ANyway, cut the long story short, he gave me 10 pork dumplings :)Yummmm....... :) enough to make me smile... Then my dad spoke to me and asked:"Woah, so sad la U. Pork dumplings- enough to make you smile??"Helooo daddy, any Asian food that resembles home food is enough to make me feel kooky and on top of the world ;) Yea, I realized, I do sound quite pathetic.Had lunch with Sam @ Rogue's Roost- snapped a few silly girly pictures :)Too bad she has a assignment to do or else we'd both be happily shopping. Too bad our free hours clash. Also too bad shopping malls and grocery stores close today cos it's Remembrance day.Oh Oh, and it started snowing last night. When I stepped out from the hospital today, it didn't look all that nice, white and snowy- instead, they looked like not-so-white frothy bubbles by the sidewalk when the sun was out.
And trees are botak like anything now.
Brrrrrr............. COLD ;)
