It's funny how when I say that I'm single when I get asked... they (my girlfriends) respond with shocked faces.And they all expect me to say I'm in a relationship or at least am dating exclusively one person-neither of which is true.I have no idea why. *laughs* Is it this vibe around me that says I'm taken?And the funniest thing is- I'm actually really shy when it comes to courtship and all that- the early dates at the start before I get comfortable and *then, maybe a little bit crazy and loud lol* - but they always say I 'don't look it' - in retrospect; they all think I'm pretty outgoing, even in that matter. I guess you never can tell what a person is really like-until you really get to know someone :)Myriam invited me over to a nice Indian home-cooked dinner *she has promised extremely spicy food on the table* :) *joy*Christine has her day off on the same day as mine- so we're going to make plans!Lucia has voiced out interest in trying out those free salsa dance lessons :) I'm IN.Roselyn has been reminding me that we have not yet met up since talking about at the start of the intern year!Praz drunk-dialled me on Saturday night; when I only had like 2 hours of sleep the night before- and when I was going to be on call on SUNDAY morning! *arghhh* he broke my sleeeep! Was on call last night:Ami says she's been telling people how Safdar and I are like loggerheads brother and sister.He's such a big bully! But yes, he couldn't care less; so we came to the conclusion he needs a girlfriend; and we should start with getting him a profile on match.com ;PHad the portobello, cheddar and egg on jalapeno bagel. That was so tantalisingly delicious; when Safdar had it for breakfast- I couldn't resist the smell and the look of that burger *laughs*So I had it for lunch ;)Kenny was in the call room with me; and we ended up yakking about Indian FOOD. Why do my conversations always end up revolving around food? :) Had a taste of avocado bubble tea from Vishal for supper :) Then got blasted with admissions from 1.30am then at 3.15am, then one of the new admits had to be transferred to the CSU for a fib monitoring. He became tachy at 180- that was kind of nerve-wrecking when she looked me in the eye and said we might have to shock him; and this little stress ball was working up inside me then *hoo boy* Luckily, everything went well with metoprolol; also Ami dragged in another senior- for backup and support :) LoL I would have - without a doubt. I need to go to bed. STAT. xo.

Friday night was one heck of a night.Cheah wanted to catch Yoyoma; a world-renowned cello player. Which if not for my muso sister Syeyi, I would never have known who he was ;)And the other plan was to join another gang for dinner and a movie.Then, Fatimah sent an already RSVP-ed invite to Akira's fashion show @ Enclave - which she did for a few of us (I havent been to a fashion show before- so I was obviously excited!)I decided to include two of my colleagues: Jyoti and Sai- who were excited too! :)Anyway, fast- forward; met Chai Ling and Amy- decided to hit Zed next-after that Akira thing didn't happen as planned.Bumped into a couple of 2nd years celebrating someone's birthday; and Brian and Sandy (who came straight from the airport), Karl and Fatimah and Igor - were there-so it was tonnes of fun!Kenny told us about his friend's rooftop party- and I guess the eventual final destination meet-up didn't take place; they ended up not coming over to Liquors. My friends did- so we had some fun :)Came home around 3am. *overly exhausted* Brian and Sandy were so nice to give me a wake-up knock on my door at 5.30am for me to get up for work :) Then again, I don't even know if they had slept or not ;) *laughs cheekily*Saturday morning came- and I had barely slept for 2 hours -.-' Chai Ling emailed me the sweetest message-and I told her I so badly didnt want to spend my Saturday indoors wasting it on sleep catch-up; and how much I wanted to lie down on the green grassy bed in Grant Park with the company of good friends and great snacks to chow down on :)And she mass-emailed everyone; and then; that happened :) We hung out; with the orchestra symphony playing Beethoven's 9th - with a few picnic blankets; lots of food including my BAOs :), nachos and dip; chocolate cookies; brownies..... :) And we all had a great time; some catching up on sleep; some catching up on gossip ;), and we were surroounded by happy relaxed faces all over :)Blissful.Here I am; on a rainy Sunday night (emergency is nice and quiet; I wont JINX it anymore ;)) on call. And I'm going to do the rare nice thing. And sleep :)*muacks*
