There were 8 things on my to-do list today; all because problems cropped up with my US visa application and it wasn't just that; it also included the preparations for moving to Chicago in the near future; and finding temporary spots of accomodation whilst locating for my own studio...*hehe* this is to the CHICAGO-ans.

I wasn't going to let this stress me out. Cos' as the Canadian Max has said; Don't Stress.
Excellent advice =) ; and I was not going to let this problem affect my spirits OR my nerves before our family trip to Bali this weekend :) hehe

Wrote another gazillion emails again tonight; in front of my lappy (laptop).
And bugged D, B and T- WHO are all friends of my friends who were introduced initially for the very kind purpose of helping me settle into Chicago as easily as I can =)

I'm positive they all think of me as SUPER thick-skinned ;P But on a more serious note; I am very very thankful they are there. :)

My residency program has been such a tremendous support. I already am so happy to be part of the working staff at RUSH; judging how helpful and accomodating they are!! =) I already told mum today I'm going to love working there; and being in Chicago too *hehe*

I'm going to have a FAB three years in CHicago; if not more.

Here's to a toast (I'm toasting myself *laughs* since it'salmost 1am and everybody else is sleeping ;)) : to a wonderful 3 years in Chicago for my internal medicine residency; with

lots of good friends (intern year will see to it; with us sharing the roller coaster highs and lows of brutal first year residency; the bittersweet)

support; love; joy from the people I am surrounded with in Chicago... and of course; my family and friends from everywhere else. *think SKYPE and facebook* ;)

professional fulfilment and accomplishment,

I am by the way; setting my sights on becoming a top-notch nephrologist (kidney doctor) =)

AND... gaining and learning as much wisdom and knowledge as I can; to be a great 'human' doctor; a balanced person; AND of course; one who never forgets the people who have been there for me throughout and have kept my foot grounded solidly.

I know what I want for myself; and that is a life with time divided for work; fun and play; my loved ones and for myself.

I'm so excited! :)
